Wow mga bata! Ang galing ng anggulo nito :D tsaka kulay.
| Children on the streets (not always "streetchildren" hehe) are fun subjects. They have this spontaneity that is inert to them. I'm glad you had a taste of the experience. I do street shooting 2 ways: one is a friendly approach when I get to interact with them and even ask them to pose for me. The other one is detached and "invisible." I use a long lens for this and usually I get images that are more natural.
I had several experiences when children started flocking around me and start posing unnaturally (the "pogi pose" is universal believe me). I ended up with a bunch of photos not really worth keeping or exhibiting.
You have to strike the balance between the 2 approaches for a better street kids shooting. You have a good start.

this one's so candid i like it despite the lack of multiple colors. :)
that "pogi pose" is universal. I tell them, "if you pose that way, I'll not take your photo." Usually, they invent other poses. Use the hands to frame faces.
they WILL flock to you! hehe
tip no. 1: get closer and focus on the eye.
